Jerk Marinade by Turnahpot

Ingredients

  • Smother the tofu and chill overnight – if you are doing it the same day why not chill it for at least 2-4 hours so that the Jerk Marinade can soak into the pores of the Tofu.
  • Once chilled, this will make for an amazing Jerk Tofu, pan fried or on Skewers with Jerk Plantain and pineapple cubes.
  • HOW TO USE JERK MARINADE

    To utilize the marinade, just toss your vegetables or meat together with the jerk marinade to cover up to it as you can. It's ideal to coat the food entirely. Cover and refrigerate to allow the flavors permeate.
  • Marinating time will change based on what you're marinating. Moderate fish like flaky white fish or legumes, and many veggies, will just require 1 hour or not to gain in the curry taste. Tougher cuts of beef will require several hours and may even be left overnight to maximize flavor.
  • MAKING JERK CHICKEN

    Use this curry to generate the popular jerk chicken by massaging and submerging the chicken on your jerk marinade. Get as much of this chicken coated as you can.
  • Cover and refrigerate the chicken for at least 4 hoursthough overnight is ideal for optimum taste. You may use any kind of poultry for thisparticular, either bone-in or boneless chicken.
  • When you are ready to cook, then remove the chicken and discard the marinade. After that, cook chicken either on the grill or in the oven each your own recipe.
